Description | Reciting that Ralph and Matilda quitclaimed all their common pasture in the lands of the said William in the said vills except on certain land called Cocschutewode outside the park of the said William of Cubley where Ralph, Matilda and their men of Boyleston have common of pasture after the harvest (corn raised and carried away) without impediment: and afterwards said Matilda and Ralph grant that the said William and his heirs can assart and improve cultivate (exedo = cultivate) all his lands in the said vills and enclose with ditches and hedges without impediment: and the said William quitclaims to Ralph and Matilda common of pasture in the lands and tenements of Ralph and Matilda in Boyleston except on certain land called Meduhay where William and his men of Cubley have common of pasture after the harvest without impediment of the said Ralph and Matilda and it will be lawful for the said Ralph and Matilda to make assarts and cultivate the said parcel of land which is called Meduhay reserving to said William and his heirs common of pasture after the harvest: also same William to pay to said Ralph and Matilda one mark at Cubley every year: if he fails to pay it then Ralph and Matilda can distrain William for all his chattels in all his tenements in Cubley Dated: Easter Day in one month 36 Henry III |
