Parish of Calke St Giles
Administrative History
Calke is an ancient parish. It was originally appropriated to the Augustinian Priory of St Giles at Calke, and after the dissolution passed as a private peculiar into the hands of the Harpur Crewe family. In recent years the church has been used as a private chapel by the Harpur Crewe family. It is served by the vicar of Ticknall, and the former parish is now administered as part of the parish of Ticknall.
Custodial History
These records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office at various dates from 1981, and re-accessioned in 1994.
