| Description | The Turnpike Road ran from Heage to Duffield via Belper. It was set up under an act of Parliament of 1792, whose powers were amended by later acts of 1814 and 1835. The management of the road was administered by trustees, who included several members of the Strutt family. The trust was wound up in 1880
