Feoffment by bargain and sale by Richard Calton of Stanton gent. and George Hodgkinson of North Edge in the parish of Ashover gent., at the direction of Edward Haslam of Brackenfield yeoman, James Gregory of Brackenfield yeoman, and Grace Gregory of Brackenfield widow, to William Clay of Astwick in the parish of Ault Hucknall yeoman, in consideration of £140 paid to Edward Haslam and £95 paid to James and Grace Gregory, of the following closes in Brackenfield; two closes called the Upp Healdes with a barn standing thereon; the Neather Heald, the Milne Lands, and the Royal Acre (tenant Edward Haslam); three closes called the Wheatfields, and one close called the Broome Hill together with one parcel of land adjoining called the Rushy Pasture (tenants James and Grace Gregory).
