Administrative History
The school was founded as a National School in 1868, built by subscription, and supported by voluntary contributors. By 1895, it catered for 200 children (mixed and infants). It was known as Scarcliffe and Upper Langwith National School until 1907 when it became Scarcliffe and Upper Langwith Church of England School. The school assumed controlled status in 1942.
Custodial History
The records were deposited by the Headteacher in June and September 1992. An additional deposit of Governors' minutes and papers was made by the Chair of Governors in April 2004. Further accessions were received in March 2012, September 2012 and May 2016 (see D3626/UL).
