Funeral on 22 attended by uncles, Mr Gardam, P Longsdon & Smithers, Mrs Longsdon and little boy, Miss Longsdon, Miss Gates, Miss Finney, Major Carlisle, Mr Needham, Revd H Barker, Mr Nayler, Mr Finney, Mr Grey, Mr Wagner and Mrs Harrison as bearers. Smithers saw J last on 10th. Mrs Smithers twice prevented by weather - reference to approaching confinement.
