Enclosure agreement relating to commons and waste lands of Bugsworth (consisting of the half which on the division of the wastes and commons in the lordship of the High Peak was allotted to Bugsworth) [Buxworth]

Description
Agreement made between
1) 17 named persons the freeholders and proprietors of land in Bugsworth hamlet and
2) John Dixon of Oldfield, Taxall, Cheshire, yeoman, Henry Longden of Fernilee yeoman and William Carrington of Ashenclough yeoman. That the commons and waste lands (as above) in Bugsworth now unenclosed shall by 1 May 1749 be surveyed, measured and allotted by Dixon, Longden and Carrington to the freeholders. Refers to old inclosed land. Further details as to mode of carrying this out and about fencing, roads and cost of inclosure. Endorsed with agreements concerning roads, a quarry for the freeholders and watering cattle.3 Oct 1748 endorsed 23 Nov 1748, 23 Aug 1749
