Administrative History
W G Barrett was born in London in 1878 and moved to Pinxton, where his brother was working, in about 1890. He worked at Pinxton Colliery and studied organs in his spare time. At the age of 30 he set up his own workshop in Wharf Road, Pinxton. He retired in 1957 and died in 1964.

The records were given by a private individual in December 1987 and March and June 1998.
