Copy correspondence, volume marked `8', addressed from 42 Chiswell St, Finsbury, Jan-Feb 1831. Letters to Wilmot Horton (with copies of his replies) on emigration and the treatment of the poor. A note on the cover-dating from the 1840s sorting of the papers - gives cross-references to other correspondents concerned with emigration: named are Palmerston (see D3155/WH 2855-2856), Edgeworth (see D3155/WH 2785-2786), Tooke (see D3155/WH 2888), Mill (see D3155/WH 2847-2848), Jerdan (see D3155/WH 2824), Gouger (see D3155/WH 2797) Duchatel (see D3155/WH 2780-2781), Galt (see D3155/WH 2792-2793) and Westmeath (see D3155/WH 2892)
