Title
Letter dated 04-Jul 1823: Stanton, E Ratcliff to Francis Burdett. Her late husband gave notice of his intention to quit the farm (without informing her, his brother or other relations), strange conduct. Requests relief. Endorsed with a letter from Burdett (at Whitton Park, Hounslow 8 Jul 1823) to Richard Crabtree, wondering what answer to give. Foremark is better inhabited; is unfortunate as he wishes to live there but Susan's situation could not be foreseen. Cannot shake off the gout.
