Criche Chase in the parish of Criche in the County of Derby 2/3 parts belonging to the rt. Hon. George Lo. Marquis of Halifax and Charles Earle of Shrewsbury, 1/3 part belonging to several other persons who were purchasers of the same. Imm. Halton delin. 1683. Surveyor:Immanuel Halton. Scale: of 20 perches [1:6400 with dividers. Size: 76 x 64 cm. Materials: ink on parchment with decorated border: small piece missing lh corner. Centred on: SK345528 Notes: west at top. Shows 4642 acres in The Chace, 37.1.18 acres in 'The Farms', given in terrier on same sheet, with annual rental value: 'Great Wood' with trees drawn, boundaries as stone walls, hedges with trees: rivers 'Darwen' and 'Ambre': dam, Fordge Meadow, Ware, Horse Forde, sinder heap, old goyt, Bullbridge marked with bridge: endorsed 'Morley and Chettles Parchment Writeings'.
