Map of the Mott Farm

Description
This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:
[Parish of Atlow]. A mapp of the Mott Farm. [1700 - 1725?]. Surveyor: Richard Smith the measurer. Scale: of 15 [chains 1:3200] with dividers: on a separate piece of parchment glued onto the map. Size: 45 x 58 cm. Materials: coloured ink on parchment. Centred on: SK225486 Notes: compass rose, north at top. Shows 169 acres named closes with acreage: numbered enclosures marked 'Meadow'd' or 'Pastur'd' with table of 36 closes: closes as in the 1676 plan except north, where some of the rectangular closes have been combined to make parcels of approximately 5 acres and the two most southerly closes, each of 10 acres in 1676 have been divided in half: Mott Farm indistinctly drawn in profile: Atlow Chapel, side elevation, with a very large bird perched on the inadequate tower: further houses added since 1676 plan.
