- William Johnson from Tissington to Sir Henry FitzHerbert: the mare has foaled a fine colt; the hay harvest is very promising; "Ashbourne fair was the worst fair I ever saw. There was good new calv'd cows at eight pounds and lambs at ten shillings per lamb, and fat sheep at five pence per 1b ...." 3 or 8 July 1821 (D239/M/E/4550)
