Description | The minutes are almost entirely concerned with passing the parish officers' accounts and rating matters until 1799, and incorporate the following: (a) Accounts of the overseer of the poor, 1754-1838 (summary accounts only except 1836) (b) Accounts of the surveyor of the (mostly summary accounts until 1840, detailed accounts in 1841) (c) Headborough's accounts, 1754-1777, and constable's accounts, 1778-1838 (summary accounts only) (d) Churchwardens' accounts, 1754-1848 (summary accounts 1754-1838, detailed accounts, 1839-1848) Note: (i) The offices of surveyor of the highway, headborough and churchwarden were often combined in the 18th century (ii) Where the accounts are only summary, detailed accounts in the form of 'bills of particulars' were furnished to the meeting.
