This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:
[Plan of an estate in Meynell Langley owned or in the occupation of William Bailey 1770-1800] n.d.[1770]. Scale: no scale shown. Size: 63 x 40 cm. Materials: linen backed paper, ink with faint ochre colour on roads. Centred on: SK298404 Notes: Compass rose, north at top. Part of a larger map, border decoration truncated: shows disparate parcels of land, hedges depicted, with reference numbers, state and quantity of land: later additions in pencil, fields, roads, wood strea: Langley Common crossed in pencil 'Sold': Key Table stuck on. Location: DRO, D1959/1
