| Date | 1949 |
| Description | Date of birth: 14/02/1897 Marital status: Married Address: 279 Derby Road, Birdholme Type of injury: Injury - back Description of accident: Accident occurred when claimant was walking along underground road to work, slipped on some boards Further information: Disability assessed as 'less than 20 per cent'. Correspondence (unsigned but apparently from NUM offices) from July 1950 to Ministry of National Insurance, requesting claimant's case to go to another Medical Appeal Tribunal: ' I realise that this is a belated request but Redihough is deaf and did not understand the position, he is rather hysterical and gets very worried at the least thing'. Subsequent appeal against Industrial Disablement Benefit decision set in motion, stating a 'substantial and unforeseen aggravation of my condition' (from claimant's letter August 1950). Notes indicate that this appeal was outside the 3 months time limit. No record of outcome. |
