Further information: Cope's appeal letter included: 'I appeal against the Insurance Officer's decision of 2 per cent of loss of faculty and the £27: 15: 0 disablement gratuity. As I am barred from working at the coal face by my disabiility of dermatitis I do not think the percentage is anything like fair. I was earning on average £18 a week when I contracted the dermatitis'. Tribunal findings: 'although the claimant has been working in a dust-free atmosphere for 3 years there are still signs of active dermatitis'
