He was awarded disablement benefit, and then claimed special hardship allowance. It was found that on comparison between his pre and post accident earnings, that his average earnings were more post-accident (as a Doughty Prop Repairer) and the Insurance Office disallowed the claim. There is detailed information about wages within the paperwork. The appeal was turned disallowed on 11 December 1958 on the grounds that his post-accident earnings exceeded his pre-accident earnings. |
