Further information: In a neurologist's report of August 1966 (omitted from the Appeal evidence) a detailed history of the claimant's ill health is given and a conclusion: '[He} lost the sight of the left eye as the result of a traumatic cataract produced by an injury when welding [...] two minor bumps to the head [...] the description of these [head] pains indicates they are of a functional type and not due to organic reasons. I was unable to detect the cause of the neurosis'.
