Further information: A fall of coal on the left leg caused a 'left Potts fracture'. Some Medical Appeal Tribunal paperwork included, as well as an appointment card for Derbyshire Royal Infirmary. A handwritten letter by the claimant is included addressed to 'Herbert.' A letter to the surgeon Mr Guy Pulvertaft arranging an appointment refers to the surgeon being in India for a conference. A full medical report on the claimant is dated 9 December 1960.
