Later it transpired she was in fact employed duirng these periods. Ferguson claimed he had believed it was only if his wife was in receipt of earnings over 40s per week that he would be disqualified from the benefit. Details of Mrs Lucy Ferguson's earnings at Eckington Secondary Modern School supplied by Headmaster - gross and net wage, value of school meals and remarks about Laundry allowance included.
