Title
Articles of agreement between Robert Elson the elder of Muston yeoman and Richard Elson his son and heir apparent, that whereas Robert by a feoffment of the same date has granted all his property to Richard, the latter will pay Robert during his life £20 a year in 4 equal parts at specified times, beginning at the feast of the Annunciation next. He will provide his father with adequate food, lodging and clothing, a grey gelding at the sealing of this, and will provide winter and summer feeding for the gelding and 20 ewes for Robert in Muston and Stanwith. Robert senior will further allow pasture for 5 kine to Robert Elson the younger and will allow him to enjoy the great new close in Stenwith during the life of the elder Robert 24 Sep 12 James
