Chisworth Parish Council
Administrative History
Chisworth is a civil parish which was formed from Ludworth and Chisworth by a Local Government Board Order of 1896. It helped to provide local public amenities and services such as street lighting, recreation grounds, footpaths and public seating, as well as liaise with other local authorities over proposals or issues that might concern the area.
Custodial History
These records were deposited with Derbyshire Record Office in March 1974, May 1978 and July 1981 by the Parish Council. A further item was deposited in April 2008 under reference D6934 Tintwistle Parish Council and re-accessioned in June 2008.
