Copy of court roll: Surrender by Jonathan booth of Ridgeway, yeoman, of messuage and 2 closes adjoining it called le Lowe Butts containing 4 acres in Ridgeway and in possession of Samuel Billam and lately in possession of John Turner, one cottage and close at Ridgeway Moor top in Ridgeway called le Frith Close or le Roe now in possession of Roger Clay, to use of Jonathan for life and then to the uses of his last will or other disposition or in default of a will or disposition, to the use of Jonathan's right heirs, and admittance accordingly, in the great court baron of Hannah Lowther lady of the manor before Thomas Wright steward. 23 Oct
