Being of a very nervous disposition these things always cause distress, and he would rather manage without. They have put on the Medical sheet, Injury to Left Face 1920, He was buried in the pit which caused this, and his nerves went to pieces, He was off work a considerable time with Neurasthenia [...] I had constantly to be in his presence [...] we had very little to live on and a family, [...] he had a brother and Uncle, killed in Pilsley Colliery. His father had a leg off in the mine.[...] The present award [...] is not a windfall. [...] And as a miners wive it is I that have to keep things going'. From Tribunal summary: 'The claimant has a chronic bursal thickening in front of his tibial tuberosity containing melon seed bodies. This may be a sequela of beat knee'
