1-2 - The Corner House - Middleton by Wirksworth: Lease and release by Mary Wigley als. Slack (widow) of Henry Wigley of Wigwall), Anne Rosell of Wigwall, widow, (eldest daughter of Henry Wigley) John Statham of Tideswell, gent, and Bridgett, his wife (second daughter of Henry Wigley) and Michael Burton of Wirksworth, gent, and Mary his wife third daughter of Henry Wigley) to Robert Greenehough of Middleton by Wirksworth, yeoman, in consideration of £5, of 2 messuages at Middleton, adjoining Luke-stone Way eastward, Thomas Somer's house westward and the common northward, in the occupation of Robert Greenehough and Richard Blackwall, with all appurlenances, except a parcel of land, lately part of the common known as Middleton Moore, called Ashes Intake - subjected to an annual rent of 1d payable to the chief lord of the fee. 2/3 February. - 1701-1702
3 - Bargain and sale by Thomas Gell of Middleton by Wirksworth, yeoman, to Edmund Spences of Middleton, miner, in consideration to £19 of the house and parlour now occupied by Spencer with one half of the gable whereon the chimneys are built (Spencer paying half the cost of maintaining the same) which premises where purchased by Gell from Ralph and Philip Gell his brothers, and were purchased by Ralph Gell from Mary Wigley als. Slack and others (as CT1-2) 17 July.
4 - Lease for possession by William Spencer of Middleton by Wirksworth, miner, to Daniel Spencer of Middleton, tailor, of a dwelling house with bakehouse and garden in Middleton by Wirksworth and a parcel of land in Middleton Field (2r). 15 December. - 1729
5 - Mortgage by demises for 500 years by Daniel Spencer to John Slacked Middleton miner, for £17, of premises as CT4 and of a parcel of land in Middleton Field known as Clay Butts. 16 December. - 1729
6 - Feoffment by Daniel Spencer and Lydia Spencer, spinster, (children of Edumund Spencer decd.) to Thomas Burton of Middleton, miner, in consideration of £14-10s of a cottage, bakehouse, and garden at Middleton in the tenure of Thomas Brookes. 16 June. - 1730
8-9 - Lease and release by William Rugge to Samuel Brookes of Middleton, miner, in consideration of £18.18s of messuages as CT7 in the occupation of Anthony Buxton. - 1759
