BiographyDarbo was an enslaved African on the Turners Hall sugar plantation in Barbados, who first appears in the records on 31 December 1759 as a child. In 1771 he was recorded as working in the field.

He was known as 'Little Darbo' to distinguish him from the older Darbo (known as 'Great Darbo') on the same plantation.
