Biography
Jemmey was an enslaved African on the Turners Hall sugar plantation in Barbados, who first appears in the records on 31 December 1759. It is assumed that Jemmey is the same person as Jemmy Olton, on the 1771 list. In 1771 he is described as a basket maker and 'old'.
