BiographyHector was an enslaved African on the Turners Hall sugar plantation in Barbados, who first appears in the records on 31 December 1759. In 1759 he was recorded as Head Carter and by 1771 he was also head cattle keeper. In 1780 he was still head carter and head cattle keeper and was described as 'rather oldish', but 'healthy'.

Hector was born in Barbados and was purchased for the Turners Hall plantation.
