Administrative History
Matlock College of Education was a teacher training institution, which was opened in 1946 and closed in 1986. It was at various times known as Matlock Training College, Matlock College of Education and Matlock College of Higher Education.
Custodial History
These records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office by the University of Derby in October 2007. The 1975 prospectus was donated to Derbyshire Record Office in September 2019. Further records were donated by another former student and organiser of student reunions for the classes of 1959-1963.
