Title
Copy of part of will of Robert Ashton esq, grandfather of the testator, relating to a bequest to the poor of Stoney Middleton. Will dated 24 Aug 1683, bequeaths £200 in trust for the poor, executors of will named as sons Robert, Benjamin and Samuel and daughter Sarah.With copy of will dated 9 Feb 1716/7 of Benjamin Ashton of Hathersage esq, bequeathing his messuages, mills, lands, lead mines and mineral possessions to sons Robert and Benjamin equally, money to grandson, Benjamin and naming sons executors. Will proved 1717.
