Description By William Evetts Sheffield of Hasland, gentleman, and Anthony Lax of Chesterfield, gentleman, (his trustee) to Robert Newton of Norton, esq., for £1000, of a dwelling house with outbuildings, yards etc., Green Close (3a. 3r. 36p), North Croft or Middle North Croft (5a.), North Croft or Nether Croft (3a. 25p), Primrose or Primrose Greave (3a. 3r. 7p.) and a parcel of land (1a.) (bounds recited) with a dole (1/2 a.) (bounds recited) now laid to it, and which closes are now known as The Acre, Close below the House, Twesle Ash, Brook Close, Lowe Close, and the Close above the House or Green Close, all at Hasland, and two closes known as North Croft (adjoining Hasland Green) (4a.) and Hady Holme Meadow (2a), with a building formerly the Nether Stable but now a dwelling house in the tenure of James Gladwin, a dwelling house at Hearthstone, p. Matlock, with Green Close, View Close and Calf Croft (5a.), closes at Hearthstone called Pease Close and New Close (6a.) the Upper and Nether Meadows (6a.) (tenant Joseph Nuttall) a dwelling house etc., at Hearthstone with parcels of land known as Hemp Yard, the Smilting, Lowe Flatt, the Knowle, the Slathorne Fields, Near Knowle and the Far Flatt Knowle (tenant George Nuttall), the One Field at Matlock (3a.), tenant Andrew Blackwell, and a moiety of closes at Calow known as the Twin Sicks (10a.) 14/15 August.
