Mortgage from J S B Coates of Grays Inn Road, London, dairyman to Jane Barker of Nottingham Park, Nottingham, spinster of (1) house and garden on north side and part garden on south side of Tap Street, Youlgreave; (2) 2 pieces of land called the Old Close occupied by Samuel Coates at the date of his will; (3) cottage occupied as shoemaker's shop by Isaac Evans at date of S Coates' will. Under will of S Coates (1) in trust to raise £100 for son Thomas Redfern Coates and grandson J S B Coates, (2) to raise £100 each for daughter Maria Dakin and grandson Robert Clay Coates, (3) left to servant Jane Evans for life and then to J S B Coates. S Coates died 13 Dec 1882, will proved 24 Apr 1883. 1 Feb 1894. With Transfer of mortgage from Arthur Baker of One Barron Lodge, nr Coalville (Leicestershire), farmer and Joseph Barker of Nottingham, grocer's carter to John Thorpe Perry of Nottingham, gentleman including ref to will of Jane Barker made 26 Nov 1912 and proved 23 Jan 1913 after J Barker's death 17 Dec 1916. 27 Jan 1917 with receipt of redemption of mortgage from J T Perry to Mary Elizabeth Coates of Vancouver, British Columbia (Canada), 20 Aug 1937
