The front inside cover has an extract from the will of Henry Smith (1680) in which he leaves land in Belper to his two sons on condition that they give £4 pa to the poor of the parish and £4 to the curate at Belper Chapel. There are memoranda from the Census totals 1801-1871 at the back of the register.
