Title
Settlement for the marriage of Elias Needham, gentleman of Peak Forest and Sarah Fern, spinster of Meadow, p. Tideswell. Elias Needham conveys Town End Farm, Chapel en le Frith with the New Close; the further and nearer Broad Doles; the Great and Little Stackhills; the Well field or the Ten Acres; the Upper and Lower Wett Fields; the Great and Little Meadows; Bagshaw Meadow; the Bothans; the Upper and Lower Owlers, the Calf Croft and the Orchard. Sarah Fern conveys two messuage houses in Fairfield, p. Hope with two Townside closes (1 acre), the Dow Knowles (1 acre); Bow Stone (1 acre 2 roods); one rood on the Tongue; Butts close (3 roods); Little Smaldale (3 roods); half of the Weif close (2 acres); the dort hole (1 ½ acre); Lock Iron close in Green Fairfield (1 acre) and ½ rood land in Smaldale rood, half of the Fold and two yards (2 roods). The property is conveyed to Robert Needham, yeoman of Shatton, p. Hope and Joseph Goodwin, yeoman of Biggin, in trust for the couple for their lives and to their heirs, subject to an annuity of £30 a year to Sarah Fern. 2 Jun
