Custodial History | These records were deposited at Derbyshire Record Office by Chesterfield Borough Council at various dates fom 1975. The civil defence records accessioned in August 2016 were received from Chesterfield Library: Local Studies. The original Corporation record books 1646-1836 were transferred to Derbyshire Record Office in October 2016 by Chesterfield Museum, to which they were donated on behalf of a private individual whose ancestor was a former Clerk of the Borough and had collected a large of quantity of archival material for the area. |
