Biography
Rose was an enslaved African on the Turners Hall sugar plantation in Barbados, who first appears in the records on 31 December 1759. She was the daughter, or possibly wife, of Cuffey. There are several Roses in the 1771 list but none identified as Cuffey's Rose.
