Administrative History | Normanton Village Infants School was founded on Browning Street in 1985. The building was the original site of Normanton Infants School (D6953, later known as Sunnyhill Infants School). Immediately before the inauguration of the new Village Infants School, the building was in use as an annexe to the main Normanton Infants School site on Blackmore Street.
In 2006, Normanton Village Infants School amalgamated with Sunnyhill Infants School and Normanton Junior School (D6952). In 2008, a new primary school was opened on the Browning Street site, named Village Primary School. This became Village Primary Academy on its conversion in 2018. |
