Administrative History | The Carers' Federation was established in 1992 to provide support for carers and the people for whom they care. The organisation was managed by a board of carers, former carers and people who used its services. It closed on 31 March 2008.
Patient and Public Involvement Forums (PPIF) are groups made up of volunteers from local communities with an interest in influencing how healthcare is delivered. These Forums are independent of the NHS and a Forum exists for each Trust, e.g. Mental Health, Hospital, Primary Care Trust (PCT), throughout England. The forums' aim to be a 'critical friend' who will work closely with healthcare trusts but their main remit lies in represents the public's and patients' views. |
