DescriptionArticles of agreement between John Bagshawe of Great Hucklow, esq., Benjamin Ashton of Stoney Middleton, gentleman, Alexander Radcliffe of Foxdenton (Lancashire), Robert Greenwood of Dronfield, gentleman, Margaret Sharshaw of Pilsley, widow, Robert Bagshawe of Litton, miner and John Bagshawe of Great Hucklow, miner, partners in certain groves and meres in the north and south veins at Hucklow Edge, called Mr. Bagshawe's Edge Groves, and Benjamin Ashton, John Bagshawe, Alexander Radcliffe as above, Thomas Bowman, Robert Bowman and William Needham of Great Hucklow, miners, partners in certain other groves and meres in the north and south veins at Hucklow Edge, adjoining the above groves on the west, that, whereas the mines of Ashton and partners are overburdened with water, and in need of a shaft, Bagshawe and partners will drive a water gate from a place called Greenhead Ground, at the east end of Burnditch until they come to the west end of Ashton's groves, and that Ashton and partners shall have right to use the shafts, pumps, gates and drifts of Bagshawe and partners for carrying and drawing up ore, boos and rubbish in return for which Bagshawe and partners are to be granted shares in Ashton and partners' mines viz; John Bagshawe _rd part, Radcliffe _th, Greenwood 3/6th, Sharshaw and Robert Bagshawe 1/16th and John Bagshawe 1/192nd. 16 Sep
