The Trust has maintained Almshouses since the 17th century, in 1722, the Trust resolves to build twelve almshouses by St Peter’s churchyard in pursuance of Robert Liversage’s will. In 1836 new almshouses were built on London Road and the original almshouses were demolished in the 1880s.

The Nottingham Road Estate was built by Alexander Macpherson of Derby, in 1896. In 1965, the Arthur Hind Close Estate was built, with building on the Franchise Street and Drewry Lane Estate beginning the following year. The Liversage Court Care Home opened in 1989. In 2016, The Liversage Arms was converted from a public house into apartments; in 2017, the Trust purchased Clarke Street, adjoining Nottingham Road, to provide opportunity for further almshouse new builds in the future.</Nationality>
