They had at least 8 children, comprising 2 boys (William Porden Kay and Joseph Henry Kay) and 6 girls (Mary Anne, Henrietta Emilia Anna, Ellen Lydia, Eliza Margaret, Sarah Frances and Eleanor Franklin).
