Agard family of Foston & Scropton, 1577 and 1657-1660 This folder contains receipts for payments made by Charles Agard by appointment of Mary Agard, widow and executrix of John Agard (later married to Thomas Povey of London). Items 1-39 are all payments for bequests mentioned in the will of John Agard, and items 40-75 are payments to cover debts owed by Agard at the time of his death. Item 76 is unrelated, the account of the executors of the estate of Francis Agard (d. 1577). 1577-1660
