Planning: countryside sub-committee Minute Books Following the publication of the White Paper "Leisure in the Countryside: England and Wales" the Planning committee was authorised to prepare a Countryside Plan. This sub-committee was set up to exercise these functions and to explore the projects coming within the scope of the White Paper; for example, a proposal was made for a joint scheme with Derby Corporation to purchase Elvaston Castle and grounds as a country park. 1966-1974
