Boundaries Committee Minute Books This became the Parliamentary and Boundaries committee from May 1948. In May 1968 the Parliamentary and General Purposes Committee was created (for these minutes, see 1/64/1). Initially the committee looked at the proposed extension of the borough of Derby. Later, it became responsible for implementing the 1894 Local Governing Act - for example with regard to parish and district council areas. Other functions, such as war memorials and grants for playing fields also came within the scope of this committee. 1889-1968
