  <dc:description>This bronze medal commemorates the coronation of King William IV on 8 September 1831.  It is in a brown morocco leather case, lined with silk.  On the front is a bust of William IV and on the back is the head of Queen Adelaide.  The medal was made at the Royal Mint and designed by William Wyon (1795-1851), the official chief engraver.</dc:description>
