  <dc:description>A horn book was a primer for children, comprising a sheet of text mounted onto a piece of wood with a handle.  This horn book belonged to Honor Borrow (1712-1771), the daughter of Isaac Borrow Esquire of Derby.  In December 1747, Honor married Philip Gell of Wirksworth.

This horn book gives the letters of the alphabet and the Lord's Prayer.</dc:description>
