  <dc:title>Deed of covenant by Joseph Armstrong of Scarcliffe Lanes, farmer, to J G Barnes of Ashgate esquire reciting mortgage by Thomas Burrows to Barnes (31-31 October 1828) for £1,400 and whereas Burrows died on 5 February 1847 and devised the mortgaged premises and other estates to trustees to the use of his wife for life and then to be sold; and whereas Barnes, under powers included in the mortgage has sold parts of the premises and has completed the sale with the agreement of the trustees; and whereas in consideration of £1,100 part of the premises (recited) were conveyed to Armstrong; for the production of title deeds by Armstrong to the purchasers of the remainder of the mortgaged estates.</dc:title>
