  <dc:title>Blacksmith's day book</dc:title>
<dc:description>The inside from cover is inscribed John Cox, Twyford, January 1906 and entries continue from this date to the end of 1929. Multiple handwriting styles can be found in the book. The evidence of entries in the 1911 census, trade directories from 1881 to 1941 and the 1939 Register combines to suggest that the business may have passed from John Cox (1836-1933) to his son John Edric Cox (1877-1917) and then to John William Cox (1892-1974). This volume includes entries for Sir Vauncey Harpur Crewe.</dc:description>
