  <dc:title>Court papers</dc:title>
  <dc:description>Including Presentments and amercements, 1659
Folded paper sheets containing the record of court proceedings, with some estreats of fines and amercements, and warrants to levy fines.
From 1749 until the court of April 1751 inclusive, 4 separate papers make up the record for each court. One gives the court's formal title, lord's name, place and date of meeting, steward's name, names of homage or jury, and, at spring courts, appointments of constables and pinners. The other 3 papers are separate papers of presentments, with amercements, from Aston, Weston and Wilne and Shardlow. From the October Court of 1751, one paper contains all that had formerly been contained in 4 separate papers for each court. From the court of May 1762, there is only one list of presentments in each court paper.</dc:description>
